REBECCA HOFMANN

PRESIDENT / CEO

Rebecca Hofmann is an accomplished finance and compliance leader with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Her past operational assignments have covered the development and improvement of processes over governance and compliance to support onshore and offshore operations. She is the founder and visionary behind the Blockchain for Energy consortium — where she is the standing CEO and served as chairman of the board two years prior. Hofmann’s many industry awards and accolades include the 2018 GRIT Award for Creativity and Innovation, the 2019 GRIT Award for her team’s work in emerging technologies, and the 2021 Global Supply Chain Leaders Blockchain CEO of the Year Award.   She has also authored several thought leadership articles related to blockchain technology.

SCOTT SMITH

SR. PROJECT MANAGER

Scott Smith has over 20 years of experience in Project, Program and PMO management; 17 of those years have been spent in the Energy industry with companies such as ExxonMobil and Hess where he has deployed complex, large-scale global projects in 6 continents across a multitude of value chains.  His expertise is in collaborating between the business and technical aspects of a project, ensuring the project is delivered in the most efficient way possible with a strong focus on delivering value to stakeholders.  He holds a BS in Biology from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania and an MBA in Management Information Systems from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.  He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional.  His interests are adventure travel, scuba diving and French cooking.

JANETTE EVENSEN

SOLUTION ARCHITECT​

Janette specializes in the intersection of technology and business. During 10 years in energy finance for offshore, unconventional and trading firms, she identified opportunities for value creation via process improvement, automation and technology deployments. 

 

With web3's emergence, she gained a certificate in software development to facilitate blockchain adoptions. Janette is passionate to see a future where the energy industry fully leverages technology to efficiently power the world with full insight into the value chain and its impacts globally. Her contributions to the commodity haulage application are guided by vision to bring hyper-automation to energy logistics by leveraging industry collaborations. 

 

A citizen of the world and aspiring polyglot, Janette has varying levels of proficiency in Spanish, Norwegian and Arabic and has spent significant time in Europe, South America and the Middle East. Following graduation from Texas A&M with her bachelor's in finance, Janette lived in Washington, DC for 5 years working in Government and NGO roles prior to joining the energy sector.

RICHARD DWELLE

ESG TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Richard Dwelle founded Rearden Digital Assets and before this, he was the COO of Arkose Energy Corp. Richard served as the Country Manager and Chairman of oil and gas services company Wood International, FZE, based in Cairo, Egypt, from 2016 to 2022. From 2009 to 2015, he was Vice President of Business Development at Wood, and prior to that, he held executive positions at National Petroleum and Energy, including Senior Vice President. Earlier in his career, Richard helped to pioneer the Mesh Networking industry as President of NexGen City. Richard graduated from Texas Christian University with a BA in business administration.

KRISTY BELLOWS

ESG PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Kristy is an environmental and business management executive with a passion for solving complex problems.  Kristy’s career has been focused in upstream and midstream energy as both an environmental manager and leader of engineering teams.  She has held various roles including business development; consulting and P&L. She is currently focused on ESG and CCUS solutions employing new technologies that support the Energy Transition.

 

Kristy has a BS and MS from Texas A&M University and currently lives in Houston.  She loves to travel and spend time with her daughters volunteering with the National Charity League.

AMBER HASTINGS

CONSORTIUM RELATIONS

Amber has over 23 years of experience in the energy industry specializing in procurement. She has an accomplished track record with supply chain projects involving implementation of new policies and procedures, cost efficiencies and a variety of innovative solutions to improve daily operations. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Business Management from LeTourneau University.  Amber is married with two step children, ages 18 and 13. Her hobbies include reading, Pilates and playing with Samson, the family's GSD.
